"It Takes a Village To Raise a Child."
I Chose this as a quote because without the help of the parents first and foremost. Then to follow the teachers/educators,community, church, etc. A child will have a hard time prospering in life.

Children Hoslistically
Holistic education is a philosophy of education based on the premise that each person finds identity, meaning, and purpose in life through connections to the community, to the natural world, and to humanitarian values such as compassion and peace. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holistic_education)
I personally believe that as a young child you should have your own lead way to find your inner self and have your own way of getting to know things through the world and community at you own pace and in your own way. Commitment to the whole child to me means being commited to the child as they grow and find themselves on into adolescence into and adult. Just to see what they may like as a child. You never know what a child has to go through. Freckles, acne, peer presure, being fat, skinny, or even just not being popular because of these things.

Holistic Medicine is defined by the Canadian Holistic Medical Association as follows.- Holistic medicine is a system of health care which fosters a cooperative relationship among all those involved, leading towards optimal attainment of the physical, mental emotional, social and spiritual aspects of health.
It emphasizes the need to look at the whole person, including analysis of physical, nutritional, environmental, emotional, social, spiritual and lifestyle values. It encompasses all stated modalities of diagnosis and treatment including drugs and surgery if no safe alternative exists. Holistic medicine focuses on education and responsibility for personal efforts to achieve balance and well being.
- This basically talks about medicine that is used in canada and how it affects the body as a whole.
